Yamaha Bike Configurator

Founded in 1968, Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. (YME) is the regional headquarters of the Yamaha Motor Company in Europe. YME is responsible for coordinating the marketing and sales activities of Yamaha Motor products in the European marketplace, mainly: Yamaha motorcycles and scooters, marine outboard engines, WaveRunner water vehicles, 4-wheel all terrain vehicles (ATV’s), golf cars, snowmobiles and generators.

Yamaha wanted to realize the Accessory Configurator in a cost-effective way. The application is not as extensive as the configurators of some competitors or that of Yamaha-USA: the complex features in those configurators for configuring, user-experience and internal logic (for combinations of accessories and colors) are omitted. The Yamaha Accessory Configurator focuses on an attractive product presentation.

As lead designer for this project I was in charge of taking Yamaha's identity and embedding this in the application. And also giving it a modern, ,automotive and sleek look.
